Today I want to tell you about a game that completely changed the way I understand action gaming. I'm driving a car through a city invaded by alien creatures, and for the first time, I don't just want to avoid them but destroy everything in my path. That's Aliens Drive Me Crazy.
This game doesn't reward quiet and careful players. It's about recklessness, speed, and the satisfying feeling of driving through buildings like they're nothing at all. I've been playing it all night and felt like I was living in a crazy action movie where I'm the main character.
Every time I start playing, I get behind the wheel and hit the gas. The mission is simple in theory: drive as far as possible and destroy everything. But the moment I crash my car into buildings, the game completely transforms. I have to abandon my vehicle and fight on foot.
Inside these buildings, it's no longer a driving game. I'm jumping between floors, dodging aliens who are shooting at me, and balancing whether to search for ammunition or coins. If a room becomes too dangerous, I can simply swipe down on the screen to smash through the floor and fall to the level below. It sounds crazy, but that's exactly what makes it exciting.
At first, this gameplay style felt a bit strange to me, but after a few runs, it became a perfect complement to the driving section. The transition between these two gameplay types means the game never feels repetitive.
In the first few minutes, I thought all I needed to do was rush forward and shoot. But when I died repeatedly, I started paying attention to the details. My health is extremely limited. Just a few hits and everything ends. So I had to be more careful about running into rooms full of enemies.
Ammo is a huge deal also. I can't afford to squander it on inconsequential situations, because I'll need it later. The coins I find assist, but are not as vital as remaining alive.
One advice I learned was to always stay moving. I get shot easily by my foes if I stay in one location. But when I go bouncing around and busting floors to get in position, it's a lot harder for them to hit me. It’s like a dance and movement is my best defence.
| Element | Details |
|---|---|
| Controls | WASD or arrow keys to move |
| Jump | Mouse or swipe up |
| Smash Floor | Mouse or swipe down |
| Goal | Go as far as possible and don't let the aliens catch you |
| Priority | Survive first, then optimize |
As the game gets harder, the upgrades I collect become more important. They're not huge secrets, but they really make a difference in whether I can go further or not. I find myself wanting to replay and replay to get enough coins and upgrades before trying again.
I made a lot of mistakes when I started. I picked up coins when I should have grabbed ammunition, I ran into dangerously crowded rooms when I barely had any health left, and I wasted ammunition on random enemies. If you avoid these mistakes, you'll play much better than I did.
Not at all, this game is pretty forgiving. As long as you're quick and willing to try again, you'll be fine.
"No, just a lot of fighting to get as far you can." Its simplicity is what makes it brilliant.
Survival is the number one priority always. Everything else hinges on that.
Actually, there isn't. Everyone has their own style and that's wonderful.
Each run is very short, but you'll want to play again and again to improve.
If you enjoy Aliens Drive Me Crazy for its chaos and speed, there's another game I think you'll love. Unreal Drift also brings the same thrill when you control your vehicle, but this time you'll focus on drifting cars instead of fighting aliens. Both games have something fresh in their respective genres, and if you want to try something different while keeping that rush of excitement, Unreal Drift is definitely your next choice.
